The 951 Purple Raiders, sponsored by Vince Ferragamo's Touchdown Real Estate and sister club to the AFL's Fremantle Dockers, are an Australian Football Club based in the 951 area code of Riverside, California.
We've been playing footy in one form or another since 1998. First, starting off as the Inland Empire Eagles, an all American crew that won the Minor Premiership of the 1998 California Australian Football League. A few years later we morphed into the Inland Empire Fire, a 9-aside team that won two straight Grand Finals. Today, we break off from the existing I.E. Fire to create the Raiders.
The split will create a larger, stronger league and help promote footy in the Inland Empire and Southern California. We will boast numerous United States National Team members and CAFL All Stars, along with talented and athletic rookies.
