Four members of the 951 Purple Raiders were selected to the United States Revolution to play against the Aussie All Stars. Marty Curry, Deron Lien, Martin Mondial and Brian Nickel pulled on that beautiful red, white and blue jumper and played hard, but to no avail, the game was won by the Aussie All-Stars in a close nail biter. The Aussies were reinforced by former ALFers Brendon Feddema and Cameron O'brien. The match was a curtain raiser to the Sydney Swans v. North Melbourne Kangaroos clash during the G'Day LA, Australia Week Festivities in Los Angeles.
